A wireless telephone system serving rural and mountainous areas. Ruraloop is a rural telecommunications device that provides extended telephone lines for provincial post offices in remote communes. The system uses VHF-band radio, which travels through mountainous terrain. Since 2002, Vinh Hien has deployed this rural telecommunications system in mountainous and midland villages and communes across Vietnam, at commune Cultural Post Offices throughout the central provinces.
