Journey monitoring devices (also known as “black boxes”) supplied by Xuân Phi Trading and Services Co., Ltd (Tân Bình District), TIT Company and T.H.V Manufacturing and Trading Co., Ltd (District 11) have had their conformity certificates revoked by the Ministry of Transport Inspectorate.
Mr. Thạch Như Sỹ, Deputy Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Transport, announced this at a meeting on the afternoon of 15/6 reviewing one week of inspections of “black box” suppliers in Ho Chi Minh City. According to the Ministry of Transport Inspectorate, in manufacturing and supplying these devices the two companies above failed to meet the Ministry's type-approval and conformity criteria: lacking a printing device, missing indicator lights and technical specification declarations, inadequate manufacturing processes, and software components that were largely imported…
After one week of inspections, the Ministry of Transport inspection team examined 11 “black box” manufacturers and suppliers in the city, but only the two companies above had their conformity certificates revoked. Many other “black box” manufacturers and suppliers passed this inspection round, meeting the type-approval standard and the required criteria, including Khánh Hội Telecommunications Co., Ltd (District 12), Vinh Hien E-Commerce Trading Co., Ltd (Tân Bình District)…
In addition, the Ministry of Transport Inspectorate requested Tít Informatics and Telecommunications Co., Ltd (District 5) to explain its “black box” manufacturing and supply process, as its devices did not yet provide all the functions required by regulation.
According to Mr. Sỹ, in the second half of June the inspection team will continue examining the remaining 8 “black box” manufacturers and suppliers in Ho Chi Minh City and Đồng Nai Province. After the inspections, the team will announce detailed results in early July.
